Mr. Cody Sultenfuss

My name is Cody Sultenfuss! This is my 8th year teaching Agriculture Science and my 1st year at San Marcos High School. I currently teach Principles of Agriculture, Food & Natural Resources (PAFNR), Horticulture and Advanced Plant & Soil Sciences. I've also had the opportunity to teach Advanced Animal Science, Agriculture Mechanics & Metal (Welding), Equine Science, Livestock Production, Practicum in Agriculture, Food & Natural Resources, Small Animal Management, Veterinary Medical Applications, Wildlife, Fisheries & Ecology Management, Construction I & II, and Edge Lab. I also serve as an advisor for the San Marcos FFA program.

Growing up on a working cattle ranch in Central Texas I learned from an early age how important agriculture meant to the very existence of the human race. Therefore, agriculture has always been a major part of my life. Throughout my youth I was very active in FFA. I showed a variety of different species (primarily steers and heifers), judged livestock, and participated in multiple leadership development events. However, the most fascinating privilege of agriculture has always been to experience the miracle of life with each and every new baby born.

Additionally, I earned a Master of Science in Animal Science - Beef Cattle Reproduction and a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science - Production from Texas Tech University. Wreck'em Tech! During my collegiate career I was also privileged to be a member of the 2011 World and National Champion Meat Judging Team and the 2010 Wool Judging Team. I also have real world experience in product development research and running the daily operations of a 100 head cattle ranch.

My ultimate goal is to utilize my years of passion, education, and experience in the agriculture world to advocate for Agriculture Education!
